Alexander Polgar has been living and working in South East Asia since 1979. He has worked for companies such as Unocal, Total, Shell, worked in operational positions on the Singapore MRT project, established a branch office in Thailand for a major German multinational corporation, and assisted in the founding of a technology group in Singapore whose business focus was the start-up and operation of corporate entities in Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Drawing on years of experience setting up and running companies Alex founded The Antares Group, initially under the brand of BangkokBase, in late 2001. With a core support staff of lawyers, accountants, and administrators, the firm focuses on providing a full range of comprehensive services including business set up, accounting, and serviced offices to individuals and SME’s interested in establishing a corporate presence in Thailand.
